Found the style a bit glib and the stories a bit samey. Would work well as a blog or podcast segment but not enough for a book

This was a fun book about allegedly cursed objects and how they came to be that way. I'd only heard about 1 or 2 of them, so it was super interesting to read about some of these. Perfect for October!

Fun book but just gets repetitive after awhile, might keep listening to it, but I want an overreaching idea. Would have been better  as a podcast

I’ve been reading this book slowly out loud to my boyfriend since October. Interesting stories

Fun!!! I liked the exploration of the histories of the objects. I learned several new things and have a couple more that I want to look more into. I thought the exploration into digital cursed objects was really interesting. Also the stance that a “cursed object” is just something that generates a lot of stories about it/around it was super cool.

This is a wonderful book. Ocker details various cursed objects and the museums of such with a sense of wonder as well as humor. There is the story about the artist who was willing to destroy his art in case it had cursed his football team. The entry about Tut is told with such fun. Ocker also presents the back story and examines the various legends.
