Turns out I don’t need therapy, I just need to hang out with a nice old man in a boat

This was my 2nd time reading this book and I feel like I’ve understood and gotten more from it this go round. •••we should treat each person from a space a love. Everything we aspire to be we don’t have to seek b/c it’s already in us. We just have to flow with the things b/c everything is happen all at once. I’m glad I took the time to reread this and do it at a slower pace so that I could actually take time to understand what I was reading.

This felt like a children’s tale in disguise, which is never a bad thing.

I don't think I got as deep with this book as I did the others by Hesse that I read. I felt that Siddhartha's development was weaker than say, Goldmund or the Steppenwolf. I definitely mean to re-read this though.
