Aby bylo jasno. Jedničku miluju, jakože naprosto. Je to láska z dětství, ale i teď jsem ochotna se za ni postavit. Pokud neznáte, máme i česky jako S princeznami to není lehké, tak šup do knihovny. Rozhodně lze číst jako standalone.

Když jsem zjistila, že existují další díly, byla to nutnost. Pořád je to fajn, zábavné, ale pro mě už jen jako poohlédnutí za oblíbenými postavami.

This was my least favorite of the series. I believe it was the authors least favorite as well. Still, I enjoy how Wrede weaves humor into the stereotypical fantasy roles.

I love the writing style of this series but this was the first book I was actually quite bored by. Morwen’s POV and getting to understand all her cats was really fun and different, but the emphasis on the magic system and how it works felt so tedious. Overall still fun but could have done with 50% less Telemain and wizards. The ending was definitely a surprise though! This book just felt like setup for the last one which is fair since it seems like quite a premise (and the one the author initially set out to write). I carry on with hope that there will be less boring magic system stuff.
