This book was so awesome. I love how it ended. Everything did work out in the end. However I'm wishful thinking that there will be a book 6 as I have read that this is the final book in the series. I did have to look up the bonus information though for this book which is fine. But I ended up really enjoying the main character. Really want another book... Again wishful thinking.

Of course no love story can be as platonic as America & Maxon's, but Eadlyn's was special and unique and sweet in its own way. I hated having the thoughts of Eady ending up choosing Kile as her husband (not that I have any issues with Kile), but by the reason of it would have been too cliché. However the one that she fell deeply in love with was Eikko aka Erik, who wasn't even a contestant, but that's what it makes their romance more grand, it was kind of unforbidden, they weren't supposed to fall in love with each other but they somehow did, and I love every single moment of Eadlyn and Eikko together, they were perfect soul-mates. One thing that felt weird was that Eadlyn wasn't spending much time with the boys as she was supposed to.
Altough the whole story wasn't just about The Selecton or choosing the most suitable husband, it was more than that. Eadlyn becoming queen, dealing with a bully (who's threatening her life in a way that her subjects won't obey the rules if she becomes queen with a husband as a nobody).
This whole series had been such an incredible experience to read. I mean the last book should've been a bit longer and give the readers Eikko and Eadlyn's life after marriage, but either way I was extremly satisfied and delighted with the ending. I can't believe there will be no more books of "The Selection' series, this has easily became one of my favourite contemporary young-adult novels. The Crown may be the last book, but it was definitely my most favourite out of all 6 books (including Happily Ever After).
Without a doubt 5/5 Stars!

I should have stopped at book 3, The One. These last 2 have been disconnected, disbelievable, and irritating.

Daži no citātiem, kuri palika atmiņā:
-Zinu. Daži ierauga nezāli, citi - ziedu. Tas atkarīgs no skatpunkta."

The weird juxtaposition of modern / non technology was strange - sometimes felt there was not enough universe building in the series.
And someone not learning the basics of a new language in 6 months despite complete immersion was suspending belief a bit much.

Forever my guilty pleasure.
Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed reading it!
**SPOILERS**
My fave character wasn't in this book, and i am genuinely surprised she didn't go for Kile. I thought this was going to be sort of enemies to lovers and i had my suspicions about Erik, but it took me by surprise nevertheless.
