putting aside all the conflict that ties in with the civil war ii event (cause i won't be reading that) i genuinely enjoyed this second volume of spiderwoman. it was really fun, the artwork was nice and roger is definitely growing on me.

The individual books in this collection are all over the place. Some of these were good. The civil war ark in the middle was good, but ended with the main character acting so out of character that it ruined the whole thing for me. That’s actually been the problem with every piece of civil war I’ve read... It’s just that none of the stories have made sense to me. (In this case: what kind of private investigator doesn’t want to know the circumstances around one of their good friends deaths before they blame their best friend for it?!?)

I almost stalled out before that issue (after #8, I think) because they were just getting too boring. Feels a bit like they were trying to make this another forever series at this point, and I just don’t care about those.

I try to avoid Civil War II tie-ins because that whole thing was just dumb. This was at least pretty good, though.

Good illustrations, storyline feels rushed and abrupt.

I liked the connection to Civil War 2 and the continued character growth of Jessica from the last book to this one. I enjoyed this book more than the first one.

Still like it. Same complaints. Don't want Civil War II. Baby's name is an old man's name. Love Jess. Love supporting characters. Yup.

Hopeless' Spider-Woman is so good. So, so good. Jess has found her groove and not even Civil War II can make her loose it.

4.5 stars | When I started reading the Spider-Woman comics, I never thought I'd love Jess as much as I do. I am such a big Carol/Jess shipper, and this second volume just slayed me.
