This was an enjoyable read. Funny and inspiring. I love murderbot and I also want to binge watch TV and not communicate with others. The mystery under the cozy sci-fi surface of the story makes is so you can't put it down.

Makes me really want to reread ancillary justice. Parentheticals got on my nerves. A fun plot though! Artificial Condition was the better of the two because of ART. I actually didn’t like murderbot itself that much; a little boring.

This was wonderful. I love Murderbot. I love this novella style of sci-fi. I love the world and the simple, snarky narration. Devoured it! 4.5/5

Murderbot's voice is definitely the strongest feature of these first two novellas. By the end of the first novella, I was intrigued, by the middle of the second novella, I was deeply invested. Very easy-to-read in a way that didn't feel condescending. Definitely planning to read the rest when I have time.

This book (these two books) are fun! We basically have a robot (made up of both synthetic and organic materials) whose original function is to basically act as security/a weapon for humans. However, our murderbot has hacked its governor module so now it accepts contracts, does its job, but mainly just wants to watch it tv shows - which is super relatable.

Over these two stories, we watch as our murderbot slowly becomes more human through interaction and augments and how that changes the way they interact with them. But its main goal is to discover what happened to it in its past.
