The English translation isn't very good, but these stories are clearly understandable and indeed very pleasant while incorporating some interesting scientific ideas. My favourite was the planet with trees that hardened into a coral-like structure after dying, which then get eroded into sand, rather than decomposing like wood does. The Renter's Report story was very creative.
