Okay, I really enjoyed this installment. I do believe it was much better than Iron Flame. That being said, I have a complaint: this book was chaotic. Like it felt there were times it was chaotic for the sake of being chaotic and I did not like that. I’m also not sure why people are complaining about the ending. Yarros is known for her cliffhangers although this isn’t the worst one I’ve read. That being said, I enjoyed the book and will continue to read the series.

🌶️: 1
I feel like this book was like a stepstone for the next one. It feel like a lot happened, and simultaneously nothing was going on (or revealed) and we were just passing by everything without that many plottwists.
I did love Ridoc in this book even more and Garrick/ Aaric are scandalously underrated. I was hoping to see even more of swayer, Ridoc and Sloan.
Also I want the drama and violet to be in danger. It wasn’t like I couldn’t stop reading this book ist was more like I wanted to just get through it. I don’t know, I hope it was with it for the next one.
Still, love u Xaden
