This would have benefitted from being two separate books - one following the Grayson storyline, one following Jamesons, and both featuring a whole lot more of Avery and the rest of the Hawthorne Brothers. Half of what made the first half of this series so good was the interactions we saw when all five were together, and having that element so largely missing from this plotline left the entirety of the book feeling a bit lackluster.
