I actually really liked that this was about the brothers and felt different from the Avery centric books. The plots themselves felt a bit less inspired, but the character insight and development was worth it.

I LOVED IT!!!! Grayson and Jamesons perspectives are so fun and interesting and they also cement their desperate need for therapy. Graysons chapters I thought had a bit of a boring plot in that it was more grounded than what I had come to love about the series but the characters and their personal conflict as well as having a deeper look into Graysons mind really made up for it (so did any scene with Nash and Xander). Jamesons chapters were everything I loved about the series and more. The puzzles, the intrigue, Avery and Jamesons dynamic, and the somewhat confusing amount of names and titles that may require a second read to fully understand who’s who. Seeing Avery from his perspective is so adorable and interesting and makes her seem so much more badass than her inner thoughts leads you to believe (similar to Percy Jackson almost in Heros of Olympus). 10/10 will recommend this to literally everyone. Can’t wait for the next one!

Ce quatrième volet est complètement différent mais est pertinent pour en apprendre plus en profondeur sur les personnages, surtout Jameson et Grayson (❤️). Les histoires sont captivantes, petite préférence pour l’intrigue autour de Grayson qui était là encore addictive à lire, et qui nous permettait de le découvrir sous une autre facette le rendant plus humain. Mais les éléments clés d’Inheritance Games étaient bien présents : action, rebondissements, plot twists… une très bonne lecture là encore. Plus qu’à attendre le cinquième tome à présent !
