It’s a nice read, fast paced and keeps you on your toes a little bit. Loved how it’s written through different perspective and the writing differs (which words are used, catchphrases etc) between the characters. Immerses you in their thoughts and feelings. Got me out of a reading slump!

Quite dark so don’t read if you are sensitive to the topic of death - left me with a heavy feeling.

Me with only about thirty pages left: “Oh maybe this book won’t make me cry.”

Me not even ten or so pages later: *balling my eyes out for the rest of the book*

READ THIS BOOK. DO IT. Of course if constant mentions of death is triggering for you, then don’t read it.  I keep thinking about the book and just want to cry 😭

I loved reading the slow build from strangers to friends from the beginning of this book to the end. I found Mateo and Rufus to be fun and scared and likeable because they were human. I work in education, so I interreact with kids their age on a daily basis, so I spent the whole book rooting for them (even though I shouldn't have), and I of course was hurt in the end. A wonderful read!

I'll be honest, I don't really get the insane amounts of hype surrounding this book. I've been putting off reading it, afraid it would rip my heart out and stomp on it. But it didn't? Yeah, I felt sad for them, but nothing groundbreaking. It was a good read, but didn't really stand out (to me, at least). I'm obviously in the minority on that one, though.

Most emotional book I've read but so so beautiful and inspiring, it actually made me look at life in a way I never really did before.

Whoof

What a beautiful and hard read. The threads weaving in and out of each other, missing, until they collide.
