There’s no drama like high school teen drama. This book is packed full of it!

As I began this audiobook, I couldn't help but think of Pretty Little Liars. If you're a fan of that show, this story will pull you right in! Picture this: an underage party, a dead girl, and shocking secrets waiting to be uncovered. The truth spills out on a dark, winding road, and it’s nothing short of explosive!

Before I hit play, I checked out some reviews, and they were varying. But I can say that I loved this one as much as Megan’s debut. She completely nailed it again! I can’t wait for her next release in 2026!

I needed to scratch that itch from That's Not My Name so I devoured this book. I even bought the audiobook to do immersive reading - highly recommend doing that.

Here's the thing. I FELT A RANGE OF EMOTIONS WHILE READING THAT'S NOT MY NAME. I was sad, happy, tensed, frustrated, angry, disgusted, confused... all those things. This book just made me roll my eyes, laugh at a few funny stuff here and there, gasp, and say WTF a few times. Okay there were some cute young love moment that made me smile and remember the good old days. But other than that, this kinda fell flat.

I have also read Run on Red by Noelle Ihli a few months before and the whole car chase thing reminded me of that. Now if I read this book BEFORE That's Not My Name, would I have given it 5 stars? No. It's still a 3.5-star for me. I enjoyed the thrill, the anticipation, the mystery, the highschool drama, the frenemies... It was a quick read and I actually like Megan Lally's writing style.

All in all, it wasn't terrible. It just pales in comparison to That's Not My Name.
