I’m really supposed to believe this Montana man thinks the name Ashley is magical and exotic? We really described her voice as “smooth and smoky- like whiskey soaked cotton”? A booze soaked t shirt is the metaphor? Grumble grumble.

Finally! A romance for the 40+ book girlies that doesn't make us seem geriatric! I cannot say enough good things about this book, the way it addresses real issues that those of us in our 40s have when it comes to relationships, the soundtrack outlined throughout the book (Psychedelic Furs? Yes, please, yes!), and the absolutely lovable characters, the spice, the nostalgia...I loved all of it. I'm so excited to see that this will be a series and I cannot wait for book 2.

Wow, this one was better than I expected!!! Totally LOVED everything about it!!

Fun, emotional, heartbreaking at times, but absolutely beautiful at the same time! There is so much to love about this book! The writing, the dual pov, Murphy!!! This is not just an incredible cover! (but, it is what originally drew me to the book) I loved the whole concept of trying to save the mountain, while working together within the community, and all the secondary characters stories as well. I want more of the secondary characters!!

Maybe another book with Ashley's daughter as the focus....?

I cannot recommend this one enough! If you have read it, thoughts??? If you haven't, what's holding you back?

I honestly just loved this read.

After reading nonstop emotional atomic bombs in March, I needed something sweet and steamy to cleanse my palate. Come As You Are exceeded my expectations.

1. I love a Gen X romance. Something about older characters just hits me in the heart. I love the references and how much of their life has already been written.

2. I LOVED that the MMC runs a transitional house for ex-cons and addicts. Holy shit this was such a wonderful addition to the storyline that also tugged at my heartstrings.

3. Great love story. Their chemistry was amazing, and the spice was spicing without being gratuitous.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was great to see a sober living home and people in recovery as well as a couple older than their 20-30s represented in a romance novel.

This book is delightful. Great MC's that show their vulnerability and hangups while starting a romantic relationship at a later stage in life. It's a great combo, because being genuinely sweet and genuinely sexy in the same story (often in the same passage) is very fun to read.
It's great that book #2 is out.

While it was great the story departed from the 3 act structure/3rd act breakup, the action felt a little saturated towards the end.  Nevertheless it was a great journey that these characters embarked on to be together.
