This book had that good feel through all the major emotions. I enjoyed the sweetness and the aspect of bringing a mixtape into it. It gave a nostalgic vibe. Def a good change in my reading, since I usually stick to the darker side of romance. I would say def pick it up and give it a read.

this book was everything i wanted and more 😍
FMC Ashley is a divorced single parent whose ex husband won't come to terms with the fact that they're no longer married
MC Madigan is an ex-rock star who is in recovery and runs a sober living house
Madigan is a total heart-throb who spends the whole book flirting with Ashley and wow i'm so jealous

i love the dynamics in this book since it wasn't 2 perfect people who fall in insta-love (though there's definitely some insta-lust on both ends), have a perfect relationship, get married, and have babies
Ashley and Madigan are both struggling with different challenges and are able to be supports for the other without trying to fix each other

the vulnerability and diversity of the side characters was emotional and well done. we learn tidbits about some of their pasts while others remain more of a mystery but are no less lovable

this story deals with addiction, recovery, the loss of a parent, dating later in life, worrying about losing your family business, divorce, and betrayal

3/5 🌶️. Who doesn’t daydream of having a (possibly former) rockstar for a partner?? I know this person does! I really liked the inclusion of emotions in the male characters that you usually don’t see when the characters are of a less mature age. The only character (beside Chuck obvs) I did not care for was Maude Alice.
