I liked the themes in this book: Second chances, fresh starts, taking a risk, trust.
I found it refreshing that the main characters were older and had their own baggage and actually talked to each other. I was so worried there would be a miscommunication plot line and I was thrilled when people talked to each other and actually figured it out!
Four stars,. Murphy the pup stole the show, really. What a cutie!
One star knocked off because they sounded like horny teens at times and I feel like a 50-ish rockstar wouldn't sound like that, but this was an enjoyable read.

Not going to rate this one. Over halfway finished and it just wasn’t for me.
I didn’t vibe with the characters and I felt like it was glossing over the deep issues it was trying to use.
This felt far more like a first draft than a finished book.
I definitely want more Gen X rep and this might be for someone, but not me.

I liked how real the people and their problems feel in this book. It made for a compelling read and I was rooting for all the characters. It was nice to see an older couple and all of the side characters felt fully realized.

Super sweet and I loved that the characters are in their 40s and 50s. Can’t wait for the second book!
