It is verbose. As long as the name How to Stop Worrying and Start Living is. This is quite an old book and it shows in the writing style. It almost comes off as a flyer. It was first published in 1944 when the world was 2 wasn't over.
But it has survived the test of time. There are a lot of anecdotes about people overcoming their worry and the tools they employed for it. Even though the people mentioned in the book may not be known to all (considering how old the book is) the takeaways still hold true.
At the end of every chapter, the author gives summarised takeaways and those are helpful. This book is a good case for the meta-services that abstract the book for you in an executive summary of the length of a blog post. The long list of anecdotes soon gets tiring.
Like all self-help books, this also boils down to how well you put these in practice but the book can be considered as a starting point as it contains a well-summarised list of things to do when you feel overwhelmed with worry.

Too Christian, too much Jesus and God for me no matter how good a reader in audiobook
The most outdated piece of trash for self help books
This books could be shelved under comedy for its outdated thoughts and misogynistic ramblings.
Highlights include : women cant manage money. So give them an allowance when you die. Or they will spend it
Housewives; you have it lucky… lie on the floor to relax
Have insomnia? Soldiers in ww1 slept well, so just exhaust yourself physically
Its hilarious..
mental health? Pffft. Just pick yourself up.
Etc etc..
While there ate a few tips, this book is wayyyyy past its expiry date.
El stinko..

How to stop worrying and start living by American writer Dale Carnegie, published in the 1940s, is an outdated self-help book. The author worked on developing courses for self-improvement and the book seems to heavily draw from such an experience. The maxims presented are peddling of ideas from antiquity, merely repackaged with lots of anecdotes from people. Although easy to read with slight glimpses into some people's lives as they recount how they conquered worry in their own life, it is ultimately a quick and forgettable read.
Overall, I recommend this book. If I were to compile a list of necessary books for life, this (and How to Win Friends and Influence People) would be near the top of the list. He gives practical advice plainly and with loads of examples, and he never asks you to just take him as his word. When he proposes a principle, such as "rest more," he defines that practically and refers to a multitude of examples to elucidate his point. Although people all over the internet and life parrot the advice he gives here, the strongest point of this book is that he doesn't just give you some general principal; he follows through and makes it as concrete as he can.
Honestly, I didn't read the second half, and I don't believe I ever will. As effective as it is to use exemplars, the first part of the book was already loaded with examples, and the additional chapters seemed excessive. If you remained unconvinced about what he had to say, it may help to read those sections, but I have already started to apply plenty of his advice to my life.

Excellent common sense, much needed in our time.
Definitely gave me a whole viewpoint of life. Stop worrying, start appreciating and enjoying every little bliss in everyday life!
Recomendo.
