This was such a wonderful, tense, dark, and gripping read.
During this tale we follow Charlotte de Winter as she desperately tries to save the man she loves (and was just about to marry) from a dark and ancient evil.
I absolutely LOVED the character of Charlotte de Winter!
She was so strong, brave, determined and extremely easy to like and relate to.
Her character really reminded me of the witch from the video game Bayonetta - totally kick-ass and awesome!
The story, although short in length, is completely jam-packed with magic, danger, love, ghosts, family bonds, curses and evil gods.
The writing is superb and paints such a vivid picture throughout the whole story.
It will definitely keep you absolutely hooked right until the very (intriguing) end!
I honestly cannot wait to see what's going to happen next for Charlotte and to join her on her next adventure!
