I think I would have liked to get all these books in one volume, and I hope their is a reason for splitting them up besides the obvious monetary boost it would give the publisher.

I decided to read this book series because I used to love the movie growing, still do. However I never read the books until now. But, the book is just as good as I remember the movie being, so I’m excited to read the rest.

A bit short but a good

3.5 stars — just as charming and slightly creepy as I remember as a kid. I love the illustrations as an added bonus. Certainly an engaging story, and I can directly trace my obsession with fantasy and horror and faeries to The Spiderwick Chronicles books.

Truly immaculate vibes

Nothing too serious. The Jared hate in the book was getting too forced cl!

Visiting this for the first time after wanting to explore series other people grew up with and loved.

Fantasy is still not something I'm overly comfortable with, even fantasy for younger audiences. But after reading and loving the first book in the Emily Wilde series, I thought I'd further look into light, cozy fantasy involving the fey/fae.

This was cute. Certainly only a mere introduction to this world but cute and whimsical, nonetheless. There's not TOO much to grasp onto but it did an excellent job at planting a seed for the rest of the series, something I will for sure be continuing.

"he just wanted to keep reading"
