I didn’t like this as much as I wanted to. I think I’m just not a fan of gang and mystery combinations. I did like the romance side plot a lot but literally everything else about the plot didn’t excite me at all🤷🏼♀️
I'm too emotionally invested in this book to do anything else but cry right now.
Cute adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, but it felt like this book had competing plot lines. I get why they added the mystery illness, but it felt out of place. I probably won't continue the series.

sigh, i finally finish this book....
it took few months for me to finish this book. idk whether its about the flowery wording or the plot that made me wont to finish this book, but actually CG could do better than this... i hope the next book isnt this hard to be finished....

oh my god. that ending single handedly saved this book from being 3 stars. the last 100 pages were so peak AHHH
technically I dnf’d at 70% and read a plot summary for the rest of it lol sorry :’( wasn’t for me
DNF at 40%. I wanted to know the mystery behind the monster and the madness but I’m finding I’m not that invested enough to continue. I do not care for Juliette and Roma. I found their relationship/dynamic bland and lacking angst. I don’t care about the other characters neither. However, I was really enjoying the historical elements. I do like Gong’s writing style and even though I’m not invested in this book, I’ll give one of her other books a try.
