I liked how they met and that was about it. The entire “doctor’s appointment” was all kinds of wrong and it just went downhill from there. I hope I never come across the word cunny again. I was definitely getting wannabe 50 Shades vibes but with a daddy dom and just as much abuse.

Something about this one didn't click for me. I do enjoy this author and will definitely try another book!

I’ve read a few Daddy kink books, but this was a level I didn’t know existed. It was well written though and kept your interest. The long in depth Doctor visit though…. It’s one of the fun things about reading… being a voyeur looking into a world that you would never know existed… and would Certainly never embrace. I might try another book by this author but not this trope.

Very cute and short story! I liked the dynamic between Sawyer & Jane. I can see how this wouldn’t be some people’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed it.

This book had so many elements that reminded me of Fifty Shades, only done better and I have to admit there were many things that I enjoyed about it.

However, there was also the Fifty Shades pacing problems where they become obsessed with each other and move in together with the space of about a week. But considering the entire plot is just the two of them I can see how it happened.

I will say that there were issues with the dynamics in the book, number one being ongoing consent and the fact that the story presents the idea that once you consent to one thing that is consenting to everything and it cannot be withdrawn without ending the relationship completely. VERY problematic!

Overall, 3 stars for a guilty pleasure read whilst always conscious of the problems and acknowledging that it is not the most healthy DD/LG relationship.

TW/ lack of consent, violating limits. Consent is really important to me and I want to see it even in written fantasies. While Jane and Sawyer did negotiate what she may or may not like in the bedroom they never discussed rules or punishments. Sawyer decided for her and punished her without her prior consent to the punishment. He punished her pretty brutally within the first couple hours of their arrangement. Several times Sawyer embarrassed Jane in public and while she clearly stated her discomfort he refused to compromise or change his behaviour. These problems were intense enough that I was unable to finish the bok.

The BDSM was NOT SSC. I DNF @ 60% after the medical scene.
