After loving the first book in this series, there was no way I could stay away from Maggie Mercer! She's fun, cute and really makes solving a local mystery exciting. I love the way Maggie solves her mysteries and how she carries herself. She is a fun-loving, easy-going, smart, strong and completely addicting read.

This book was just as good as the first, and works to carry along the mysteries in the local area. We get to know a bit more about our main characters, as well as meeting more secondary characters, as we work our way round and e pore the lives of the locals. It was enjoyable to see just what they all got up to, how they interacted and what they thought of the newest mystery.

I liked the setting and plot for this second story. I felt it real drew me in and made for an exciting read. Again, I struggled to put this book down, and found myself finishing it in a couple days, purely because the story and characters were made so real and inviting.

I highly recommend this book and this series. I am very much looking forward to the next book!
