‘the eye’ was not my cup of tea, sadly. the writing in the begging was comprehensible until the main character, smurov, dies and the writing becomes unclear and confusing towards the end.

I think I’ll have to reread this one to fully appreciate it. It’s a clever novel, and I basically followed it (I got the joke, i.e.), but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was a massive idiot for missing something. Which isn’t Vlad Nab’s fault in the slightest
