A summery twist on the story, with Serena and Blair bonding and being their mischievous selves. However, it would have been nice if we got more info on the brittish incident.

I love this!! Again, books about the very wealthy and privileged are ones I love!

It was quite bland. The further along I get in the series, the more and more familiar it feels. I didn’t think something I read 13 years ago would have stuck with me so much. I definitely liked it a hell of a lot better back then than I do now.

The Gossip Girl series started out as a guilty pleasure read for me, but I've recently realized how problematic it is.

Yet again, this story was completely unrealistic. It's truly setting irrational expectations for its target audience which is young teenagers. As I struggled to get through the ninth book in this series, I started thinking if I'd ever want my future child to read something like this and the answer is HELL NO. Not only are the scenes cringe-worthy, but the things that these ludicrous characters do and say have me constantly rolling my eyes.

The most problematic thing about the Gossip Girl series, is how often smoking cigarettes is written into the story. Literally every other line one of the characters is lighting a cigarette. It's honestly disgusting how an author can target such a young audience and promote such a bad habit. It truly feels like a nicotine company sponsored these books...

Now, this is the ninth book in this series. You'd think by now the author would have improved her writing. Unfortunately, it seems that her writing has declined and it's honestly tiresome to read. I only have 3 books left at this point, but I really don't think I could waste my energy on another chapter.

This book of the series was not my favorite. There were a few new characters introduced whichw as awesome, but when there would be abbreviations (B, S, N, etc.) it was pretty hard to follow. Other than that, I can't wait to read the next book.
