I wasn't expecting much from this book honestly, but it gave all it needed to give. I enjoyed it and devoured it in less than a week. Started it on tuesday 27th of Jan 2025 and finished it on sat 1st of Feb 2025, I've never read a book so quickly that was over 300 pages.

I enjoyed most of it, there were some parts that were lacking and sometimes I found myself not recognizing characters as humans but rather evil instruments. I liked how in the end it took some time to reiterate and show that the "villain" was actually just a person who had gone through things.

I gave it 3 stars because it wasn't amazing, it wasn't mind opening for me, but it was enjoyable and it gave me a really good time.

Furthermore, the poems are just beautiful. Honestly, I wasn't expecting the book to take such a turn on the end but I loved it.

It also approached themes I wasn't expecting to see here. It is one of those books that don't seem political but the more you read, the more political they become. And it's not like author is trying to convince you that their political points of view are the right ones, it feels more like informating you about different political things that happen in America (and out of).

I would 100% reccomend. Even if you js choose this book because it is pretty (wich, I did), you'll have a good time with this book.

I really enjoyed reading this book a lot and it helped me put my own life into perspective. I also related a lot to Mara’s character and I really enjoyed watching her relationship with Arthur blossom as they continued to journey together. I also liked the relationship between Arthur and his father, and how similar it is to Arthur’s father’s relationship with his father. I didn’t fully like how the story ended, but I did like that Arthur empathized with Jack, and offered him a chance of redemption.
