Didn’t like this one as much as some of her others. Dragged a little for me.

Easy beach read that uses lots of contemporary romance tropes. I didn’t find it laugh out loud funny and felt some plot aspects could have been fleshed out more, but there were some witty lines that made me smile.

I love that the characters have no reason to love each other, but despite their differences love each other anyway. Emily Henry had me laughing and swooning.

If you liked When Harry Met Sally this is the book for you!

Emily Henry and Julia Whelan are the ultimate book dream team. How Whelan manages to capture the world that Henry creates and bring it to life so vividly is astounding. I feel a part of the story and, when I’m not listening, I’m thinking about everything I’ve heard and what I’ll hear next.

You and Me (People We Meet) On Vacation is a beautiful tale of love, found family, friendship and, dare I say it, millennial ennui. It teaches its readers that there is more to life than the goals we are taught to aspire to in our life, that, though we’ve been taught that these things will bring happiness, it is 1. not a failure to not achieve them and 2. they are not the only thing that can make your life worthy and your presence valuable.

Poppy and Alex have a piece of my heart, and they always will.

Super slow burn but the ending really makes up for it. I love both Alex and Poppy so much, and all of the adventures they go on. Really don’t like Sarah, Alex’s long-term ex girlfriend, she’s just…blah, and she obviously hates Poppy, so she’s a big red flag. Chapter length varies which I love and hate. Emily Henry is a fantastic writer, can’t wait to read more of her books!
