The premise sounded super promising, and I did enjoy some of the memories Poppy and Alex made on their trips, the settings were fun, and the yearning was there. I also liked the final scene, and they did grow as characters by the end. But for the most part…

Really satisfying and warm. It’s been a while since I’ve added a new ‘comfort read’ to my pile, but this one is definitely making it in. Henry is writing about something bigger and less superficial than you might imagine by the cover and title. She has an exceptionally good take on the weight of not knowing what you want, and making the people you love suffer under it.
