3.3 AVERAGE

Enjoyable and fun, though I found this to be less satire and more truth (which is rather depressing for women in tech). A good conversation starter.

I might change my star rating eventually since I try to keep my 5-star ratings for books that resonate with me over time, but this was exactly the right book at exactly the right time. I read and enjoyed Hatching Twitter not long ago, so I was all-in for this lady-centric tech book. It was suspenseful, poignant, well-written, and fun - all things I think the book you read on your first day of summer break should be. I'm excited to hear Doree speak at the Printer's Row Litfest this weekend.

Felt like a more brightly lit Bret Easton Ellis. Unhappy reflective characters with good observations, but not much going on and no one to root for.
funny lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

This book was actually kind of entertaining, but it did drag on and on. And then the "cliffhanger" ending - this book does not warrant a cliffhanger ending. Boo.

Obviously older author desperate to sound young and world-weary at the same time in a very of-the-moment book.

Very brainless beach read-type book.

This isn't my usual fantasy but it's definitely a world/career that's unfamiliar to me (which is anything not education). It's a good story about the intricacies of social media and relationships.
