Super quick read. Everyone will find something in this book that speaks to them. Why? Because it is filled with contradictions. Which is even acknowledged in the epilogue. So do with that what you will.
Reading this was a total waste of time. This is the very first book I have read in my whole life that makes me say that (and I've read a lot).
inspiring
This was a book filled with some great proverbs and passages, but it felt a little rushed to me and was very different than most of the books I usually read. I loved "The Alchemist," and was hoping for something similar to that, as this did not capture my attention as well.
The idea of the Warrior of the Light was inspiring and this book was jam packed with nuggets of knowledge and take-aways. The way of the Warrior is one of appreciation, responsibility, and fulfillment, giving small passages on how to achieve joy in life. I think this would be a great work to look back at and annotate passages because there were many aspects that I enjoyed.
“A Warrior of the Light does not waste his time listening to provocations; he has a destiny to fulfill”

It's a collectiion of thoughts and ideas the author holds, presented as the guidebook of a 'warrior of light'.
I found the entire work to be pretty unfocused, jumpingnwildly from topic to topic. I also wonder if the author himself felt the need to meet some page goal, or other external requirements. Things, such as the lassage about Hitler on page 88 stuck out as... Unusual?
Maybe that just arose by coincidence in the German translation.
There's some nice nuggets of something in there, but I don't think you'll get much out of it if you aren't deeply religious like the author.

sehr gutes buch, welches zum nachdenken anregt...
This book was very short and I finished it all in one sitting, but it felt like a warm hug. I was very sad the day I read this, and it made me feel so much better. Coelho speaks about faith in such a lovely way in every book that I've read of his. Also, when I had twitter, I sent out a tweet that said "I finished another book today and I just want to give Paulo Coelho (my Brazilian grandpa) the biggest hug, I love that man so much" AND HE FAVORITED THE TWEET. So I am now officially his grand-daughter.
