This book had its funny and sweet moments. Jake is my favorite most level-headed character. I'm not sure if I agree with the conflict being enough to send our main character, Amy, all the way to London but I enjoyed the setting and the scenes with Jake.
However, it was a super super slow-burn and I would have enjoyed some of the romance sooner. This is my first novel by Lizzy Dent so maybe this is just her style.

This fell a little flat for me. I was intrigued and laughing at the beginning but by the end I wanted more to have happened and their relationship to have developed more.

It was a cute read with loveable characters. I am left wishing there was maybe more tension, more drama, and more love I think. Overall a cute read!

Really enjoy this author. Found this book to be a light, easy read to kick off the year!
I liked the writing a lot and I loved the character of Jake but Amy I found to be petty, selfish and completely unlikeable. Therefore the chemistry wasn’t there and I found myself wishing she’d lose everything rather than get a HEA.
