Took me absolutely forever to finish this as I've had a huge book slump, but the story itself is very cute and just makes you feel very relaxed while reading it, definitely enjoyed this read very much!❤

I was initially inclined to give this four stars, but the last 60-70 pages are so soft and heartwarming that I bumped up my rating! This book is perfect for anyone finding themselves again after things go wrong, and for anyone who still needs to find themselves and their place in the world.

I’m not quite sure how to rate this book.  Some parts were really enjoyable, while some were flat out boring.  I loved the setting, the Cuban food descriptions…
My biggest issue with the book would have to be the unrealistic way people spoke.  I’m 16, and I most certainly do not speak like the teenagers in this book.  Also the writing could be a bit over reaching at times, over the top.
