descriptionI LOVE this cover. It is nice to see a romance book once in awhile have a creative cover that doesn't involve half naked people. This one is a fantastic representation of the story found within. The author has a theme that continues through all three covers. So nice unity within the series. The typography is eye-catching and interesting. That said he loses a star for the author's name being larger than the title.description

descriptionOMG...This book was AMAZEBALLS. This was by far my favorite of the trio. Same fabulous writing. Same fast pace. It had twists (boy did it) and turns and some smokin' hot sex scenes. Gabriel and Avery lite up the pages in this one and I ate it up by the spoonful.

I found this third book to be more couple-centric which was one of my issues with book two. I also felt Avery really came into her own in this one. The strong woman I saw in book one (and was missing from book two) was back with a vengeance. Gabriel was still Gabriel, he doesn't lose his edge but we get more of him letting Avery in. More of his background and what made him the man he is today.

Overall this series has been a pleasure to read. I can't even begin to tell you how flipping excited I am to get my hands on Damon and Penny's book. Not to mention I would LOVE to see Anders get a book as well. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.description

3.5 stars average rating.
Sadly the last installment lost a bit of oomph.

I'm not sure how to feel about this book or the series overall. Book 1 had so much promise and then it just started to fall flat, in my opinion. Book 2 had this mystery about it that overshadowed the romance. Book 3 was just confusing and eh. Whatever connection Avery and Gabriel had in book 1 was diluted on book 3. Yes, Gabriel would say sweet words to Avery but I never actually felt the love. I've said in book 1 and I will say it again, Gabriel is a complex character. His complex worked in book 1, but in book 2 and 3 we still do not know who he is. Yes, he gave snippets of his past life, but who is Gabriel and does he really love Avery or does she resemble is past love, Hannah? Of course, Hannah was never brought up again after he mentioned her in a weaken state of mind. The whole Jonathan situation was weird and made sense. He puts a bounty on her, but never meant to kill her......... huh?
Overall, the story fell flat. The romance fell flat. The characters fell flat. Plus, the epilogue could have been another chapter. I had high hopes for this series, but it just fell flat. ugh................

Full of twists and turns.

No rest for the wicked or the pure.

Our heroine learns some disturbing things about her father but finds the strength in herself to overcome.

The books ends with Avery in a good place. Strong, confident in herself. She is no longer naive and trusting, but she matured to a woman who knows her worth and who has an angel to fight by her side.

This book is the third in The Endgame Series, please read previous ones, The Pawn and The Knight before this one.

Avery is safe in the house Gabriel put her in, but she feels trapped. Even though they have a strong connection and sexual chemistry off the charts, they still have a difficult relationship. The story line in this book is deep, finally making sense and love the dark and mystery behind it all, it was an amazing ride to read this series. Skye Warren has outdone herself in this book, I can’t wait for more and if you haven’t already started reading her, you are missing on an amazing author. She will put you down until you finish the last page. Absolutely deserving 5 stars!

BEAUTIFUL

What just happened to me. The endgame series has taken me for a ride that will last a lifetime. I’ve read many series, but this has been a new and exciting adventure. One that I didn’t know I was in need of. The castle definitely answered my questions, and even though there are some details in Gabriels past that I want to know more of, I understand him. & wow is he a beautiful character. Dangerous, broken, and strong. But, all he needed was a Queen to make him a King. & thats why Avery gets a million stars from me. I would curl into a ball if I had to go through what she went through. One badass female lead for sure. Im hoping there is more to these characters, I don’t know if Im ready to let them go.. I feel a book slump coming on. Well, until I get my hands on The King 😍😭
