Enjoyed it more than the first book, with further expansion of the world. The side characters continue to shine, but I finally came around to the main character.

I loved this book and it just solidified The Kingdom of Crows as a favorite series of mine. I absolutely love Lorcan, he is a top tier book boyfriend. And the chemistry between him and Fallon comes off the page.
I really loved the direction the plot took in this one and it kept me so invested.
One of the things this series does so well is keep the FMC, Fallon, likeable even despite some of her flaws and poor decision making. She really frustrated me at times, but a lot of that is because of how naive she is and the book does a really good job showing her growth. And her inner monologue is so funny that you can’t help but love her through it all.
I’m really looking forward to continuing the series!

Fucking immaculate

5 stars — the storyline, the characters, everything about this is deserving of 5 stars !!

2.5 I think it was a fine read and was better than the first book, but only because the FMC finally shut up about Dante. The political aspects are better, but there are a lot of FMC decisions that felt rushed and just didn't make sense. I would KILL for Lor POV, I think it would have made this more bearable. However, I did enjoy the Judas moment we got in the end, but even that I felt like was predictable. I'm very conflicted about this book, and if I actually liked it....but I'll read the next one at the end of the month.

Fantastic second book in the series! I am hooked and ready for more
