I love Asimov's writing style. This book (and any of his others) would not have been what they are without it. His humour; the way he reveals details; and just the way he writes and conveys thought in general is wondeful. The actual plot was handled in a way that reigned in the larger than life aspirations of the characters. So many little details were not forgotten; and the characters feel so real and fleshed out. It's safe to say I love them all - if not as people, as characters.
