Reads like a lost Pratchett story

If someone had told me this was a recently discovered lost story from Terry Pratchett, I'd immediately believe them. This delightful tale of a lost regiment of goblins and an elf veterinarian also manages some sharp satire about war and its innocent contenders.

I always love reading this author. She writes in this really lighthearted, but quite funny way and her stories are always inversions or something like it a fairy tales or other folklore. She always makes you think about the roles that everyone is destined to play in the story. Case in point – this book. There are goblins and elves, but one is not good and one is not bad. They are both good and bad depending on the individual. Definitely recommend!

Big Terry Pratchett vibes. Great characters, interesting setup, resolution a bit lacking. Still a fun read, would love to see a follow-up with these characters.

Cozy. Nothing happens. Has dark undertones, but is overall light-hearted and funny. Good pallet cleanser

I remember when Sings-to-Trees was just a drawing with an extra-long caption and a dream.
