I love this book. It feels like LOTR fan fiction, but it takes a spooky twist.

Reads like a lost Pratchett story

If someone had told me this was a recently discovered lost story from Terry Pratchett, I'd immediately believe them. This delightful tale of a lost regiment of goblins and an elf veterinarian also manages some sharp satire about war and its innocent contenders.

Fun (and a little creepy), as T. Kingfisher books typically are. Novellas still aren't my preferred format though, and as usual I wanted it to be longer.
