Notes: The 2nd in the "The Improbable Meet-Cute" novella series (6 stand-alone novellas released around Valentine's Day 2024), and I just adored it. Both MCs were so cute and felt so real, and I just loved this story. I wanted so much more of it!!

This was my first by Abby Jimenez and it won’t be my last! She gave us quite a few characters and their backstories in 60 pages. She tackled some heavy topics while adding in humor to lighten the mood. My only complaint was that I wish it could’ve been longer, but I guess I am just not a short story kinda gal. I need to get emotionally attached to the characters. Loved the invisible string theory though. I both read and listened to the audible narration and I thought Holly’s narrator was a bit flat. I enjoyed but probably won’t read again.

- I loved how much heart this story had. They were also some very funny “LOL” moments and several important quotes about life. Holly‘s job has to be one of the hardest ones out there (hospice nurse). To take on what she did is truly an act of love. The way John met his puppy, Doobie, broke my heart. But I adored that John kept him without hesitation. I would love to have had a full length story of this one!

This was a cute quick read, but not as lighthearted as I would have liked. I did love Grandma's secret and her last message to her granddaughter. I think a book about the grandma's life would be a good read!
