Interesting
Similar to a lot of dystopian stories, but with an interesting family element. I like the main character, but I don't like her "earthling" boyfriend.

A must read for all the space lovers and those who prefer to drown in End-of-the-world scenario. The best part of the book according to me was the protagonist and her faulty brain-to-mouth filter!!! Also the book has its appeal in a way where anyone could relate themselves to each and every character present in this epic journey to Atlantis.

i liked the premise but seemed a bit long. i read that it's optioned for a tv series so i'll be interested to watch that!

May be one of my new favourites. Reminiscent of Ready Player One, not the actual story but the general idea of a smart kids fight for survival is a dystopian future, featuring a side of romance

So really this book was a 5* read but I'm giving it a 4 for originality. It's kind of a endgame (alien race controlling a competition and offering a few places to teens from across the world while the rest of the world gets destroyed) crossed with divergent (teens all split in to 4 categories based on their individual skill sets) crossed with hunger games (teens then all compete head to head in strange 'stadiums' with some brutal killing and deaths involved). Still a very good YA dystopian read though!
