A product of its time, this brother was an OG in getting cancelled. Seems unfair to me because it’s literally a how to win the game of thrones for dummies. This guy definitely had a thing for Borgia as well.
Overall pretty interesting how even for a leader (prince) today, everything is black and white with not much grey area, and that the ends nearly always justifying the means.
it’s slightly concerning how much i enjoyed this book- i found myself enamored with machiavelli and his ability to weave convincing arguments. i highly recommend for literally anyone interested in world leadership and history. not only did i learn about governmental philosophy, but i found i gleaned a lot of italian political history from circa 1500, which was very interesting as that was such a pivotal point in european history as a whole.

machiavelli certainly would be prepared for doomsday and would probably make it out of the last of us

Fairly accessible for a piece of political theory... I can't say I agree entirely with where he's coming from, but it's certainly interesting for its historical value.
