I read the first one under duress. Now I'm hooked. I love this series! I love Inspector Gamache! He's everything you need in an inspector. A great 'cozy' with likable characters and setting.

Not my favorite of the three I've read so far, but it was still REALLY good. I need more Clara and Peter. Also I don't get Clara and Peter. Does he love her? Is he a psychopath? I sure love her. I know they're not the point, the point is the mystery, but it's like old episodes of Law and Order, I was more concerned with Logan and the shrink's relationship than the cases. So sue me. Regardless, I was MUCH more interested in all the Arnot business than the Three Pines murder. Can't wait to get called up for the next one!!!

Cozy mystery. Enjoying this series so far.

A lot more back story in this one and a little less humor. Still enjoyable.
