This man should be responsible for paying my therapy bills.

He did it again! He indeed did it again. Not to repeat myself but this book was amazing.

The emotional rollercoaster i went through while reading this is insane, i have so many things to say about this book but i simply can't find the right words for it.

I was tempted to give this book 4 stars because of all the politics talk which i despise plus the repetition of certain part but i simply don't have it in me to give it any less then 5 stars.

I'm kinda afraid of the last book but oh well, we'll see soon what he has in store for us.

2023: I did a reread of this book so that I would remember what was going on before taking on the final book in the series. My second read was even better than the first and I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! While I have enjoyed the other books I've read by Backman, none of them hit me like the Beartown series does. Growing up in a small town and giving everything I had to a sport that was heavily influenced by outside politics, I relate to so much in this story. Backman captured details and feelings that I could swear he took right out of my head. And in general, this series captures humanity in a beautiful and heartbreaking manner. I continue to recommend this series to everyone that I can, as this series, and the people of Beartown, have my entire heart.

While not as good as Beartown or some of Backman's other works, Us Against You is a stronger novel than the vast majority I've read in the past year. If you want something about emotion, and life, and the human experience you'll find it in the town in the woods that loves hockey.

This continuation of the storyline and characters only made me love them even more than I already did.

Compared to Beartown, this book follows more characters, both ones we already met and new ones. It picks up right where the first one left off, minus the parts where it flashes forward ten years. This book covers more aspects of life that I think more people need a realistic view on so they can actually learn from what they read. This book still had the many moments where I laughed and cried, thinking back, I think this one actually had more moments I left a sticky note on and wrote down the quote in my log. Fredrick Backman truly did it again and I can't wait for the third book.
