DID NOT FINISH

Dnf at 30%. Main character is a moron and the plot is totally unbelievable

There seems to be more than meets the eye to Mae West. There are a few things that didn’t seem to fit but overall a good story. I didn’t figure out the killer, which is good.

I also learned a few things about RV living, something that I’ve never done. The characters are kind and interesting, I think I may pick up another one in the series.

Happy Reading!

This is pretty poorly written. The premise was intriguing but not very well executed. Too short to really flesh out any of the characters, so everyone is just a paper doll with no substance.

Also some very major inconsistencies that had me yelling at the book. Supposedly our main character was born and raised in Kentucky, and only lived the posh life 5 out of her 30 years, yet doesn’t know how to do a load of laundry, doesn’t know Southern characteristics, and has 0 friends that aren’t rich?

I bought the first three books in the series for a couple of reasons. One I had seen some videos of the author on TIkTok and enjoyed her enthusiasm. 2. I love all kinds of cozy mysteries and hope to write a series myself one day. And 3. I am a former full time RVer who has dreamed of owning her own campground someday.

The first book in the series is not a bad read on a lazy weekend afternoon. I look forward to the next one.

3.5 ✨

Weird name for a book that has no beaches (it's a lake?), bungalows (they're RVs), and one burglary.
