A fun read about the creepy, gory, and gross side of science. The author, Erika Engelhaupt, is/was the science editor for National Geographic who wrote a blog about things like the kinds of flies that collect on corpses, why people are creeped out by clowns, all the different fluids that people excrete, and the worlds tiniest crime scenes. This book takes the content from those articles and more and structures it into a book with such memorable chapter titles as "That's Disgusting","Creepy Crawlies", and "Gross Anatomy" that's very easy to read and not too overtly gross (though I don't see myself taking up insect dining any time soon).
