Each chapter in this book was its own topic which made it easy to pick up and fly through but also made it easy for me to forget about it for a couple days.

Definitely not a book I would have picked up without this book club but I enjoyed it overall. The insect chapter was probably the hardest to stomach and I have some new anxieties about face mites. But I also have a lot of new facts to share.

This book is a series of essays/articles written about things that are intriguing, gory, gross, and/or disturbing - from mites that live in the pores on your face to peeing in swimming pools to body farms. It was informative, but I probably would have appreciated it more in middle school. 

Fun fact: the cover is glow-in-the-dark, so if you're reading it by your bed at night you'll have a nice little surprise waiting for you when you turn out the light.
