This was quite a fun read. The format was not exactly what I was expecting though. I would describe it as a collection of essays with the theme of dark and gory science tying them all together. But the thing I did not expect was that the range of topics would be so wide. But this was not at all a bad thing because I found every topic super interesting! Like yes, descriptions of wounds and gore and bugs make me a bit squeamish, but in more of a fascination kind of way. 

My absolute favorite part/chapter was the one about female anatomy. Totally came out of left field but in the best way. And to be honest, I already knew most of the info, but this being in the book and not being advertised probably led so many people who would have never sought out that info to learn about it. If you want to learn more about the topic I highly recommend scone As You Are by Emily Nagoshi. 

Overall this was an easy, fun, and interesting read!
