This was interested but the title is a little misleading. Or there’s something mentally wrong with me 😬, but this was not gory. I was expecting some more nitty gritty science facts, but instead there’s a lot of talk about bugs, movies, and individual stories that loosely relate to the chapter topic. When the topic was interesting to me, I was alllll in, but for something that I really couldn’t care less about, like ear wax, I skimmed those chapters.

This was full of gross and informitive information. Very cool.
Super interesting and pretty funny -- written in a similar style to Mary Roach, which makes a lot of the sometimes uncomfortable or squirm-inducing content easier to 'digest'.
The non-narrative format is perfect for a coffee-table [or bathroom - given the content] book.

This book was fascinating, I learned a lot that I didn’t know and really enjoyed learning about different ways science has helped forensics.

Great read! Since it’s based on a column, it’s very episodic and easy to pick up. Learned so much and had a fun time doing it.
