Just one sentence...

...can bring down a star. The book was only meh. I hate to say it, but I couldn’t really connect with the characters & the parts that were supposed to be humorous just weren’t funny to me. Even my like/hate relationship with William didn’t really bother me. It was just meh.

I would have given it 3⭐️’s. I was all set, until 99% when this was written,

“when he found out I loved penguins so he surprised me with a trip to go see wild penguins in Alaska.”

I’m done.

She blunders her way into becoming a bush sculptor for a wealthy man. Her 'oops' product turns out to be quite popular with the art crowd. She's a little out there. Not really awkward but tends to be naive about some things and her mouth spews crazy things when she's nervous. But she's proud and even if she has failed at so many things in life, she isn't going to lie down and take it. He is broody but under that is a nice and generous guy. He sees something in her that pulls him from his vow to avoid relationships. He wants to help her pursue a career in the art world, but things happen and he could damage it before it even takes off. They are a ying yang kind of thing... she is silly and he is more serious, but together they fit perfectly. Filled with laugh out loud humor. Minimal sexual content, though there are plenty of innuendos. Just an all round feel good kind of story with some silliness. You get to see some familiar faces if you've read the previous books in the series. (Though each can be read as a stand alone.) The side characters bring some additional laughs. This is a fun and well written story with lots of crazy random facts thrown in.

This one was really funny, but it it still wasn't "good".

As always with this series by Penelope bloom it's a laugh a minute.
Harry was amusing but nell was hilarious. The banter between her and roommate davey, really set the tone of the book, but with William and grammy making an appearance I knew I was in for a good read. Great series love them all.

This was probably my least favorite book in this series, but is was still a quick, cute read. The whole bush art thing seemed like kind of a stretch, but the banter was pretty good.

This was a lot funnier than the previous in the series. William as always steals the show in every book he's in. I can't say that there were any memorable moments, but it was a sweet love story. Nell was adorable and Harry was likable.

I enjoyed the entire series. I do believe this was my least favorite one. I liked Nell and Harry but there wasn’t as much excitement and chemistry between them like the other couples.
