If you love romantic comedies, this book is for you! Peart's characters are hilarious, lively, and the best of friends.

Main character, Natalie, has had a series of failed relationships and is wary of the very hot Colin. She nearly sabotages herself with her expectations that something is wrong with this seemingly perfect guy. And it's true, Colin really is hiding something from her... but what?

Natalie's friends are funny and supportive of their best pal. (Think Sex in the City.) I would highly recommend this book to romance readers.

I loved Colin. He’s one of those characters that as soon as he enters the picture, you know you are going to love him. He has the feel of an alpha male without the complete cave-man-istic tendencies. Wait until you see how he enters the picture too. I laughed. Out loud. I wouldn’t lie. I totally did.

There were actually a few parts in this book where I found myself giggling a bit. I love the relationship Natalie has with her friends Caroline, Ali and Jena. They are just a fun group of women who have each others’ backs. I’m glad Angela gave that group some focus. I think it was important to show the friendship support she had and how she supported them. It gave us more insight into Natalie as a person.

Natalie has been burned, more than once, and after running into Colin again, she lets fate decide whether she will reach out to him or not.

That was a cute scene.

Something is going on with Colin though, and it makes her doubt their very new fragile relationship.

Will he let her in before she gives up on them?

I can’t say.

That would ruin the whole surprise.

All in all, great book, love the romance, love the friends, can’t wait for the sequels.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Very cute, author did very well on branching out from her previous writing genre
With more writing in this style, it can only get better.
The camaraderie between the 4 friends is great. Although Caroline is a prude and we don’t see much of Jena.
Even though Ali wasn’t a main character, I really liked her. But we need to clean up her act a bit.
Natalie and Colin are a good fit, hope it all works out for them. We were left with a big cliff hanger on this.

3.5 Star Review

Natalie is the co-owner of a dating service for executives. Colin works for a radio station that Natalie is buying airtime from. They hit it off and start dating. Everything is going great until Colin starts acting strange. Natalie thinks he might want to break things off with her.

The first 4 chapters was just chatter between Natalie and her friends. I loved the close relationship between them. After that, the story line started flowing smoothly and the character development between Natalie and Colin really picked up.

Even though this book had a rough start for me, I absolutely love Natalie and Colin. Author A.O. Pert has me hooked and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Review requested by author (ARC)...this was a quick read and a good one. Natalie and her three friends are very genuine to one another. They have each other's backs no matter what and when Natalie is a rut from past bad relationships it is her best friend Ali that tell hr to get a f:(/ buddy and she finds one in Colin who is the manager at a local radio station. They meet in the most embarrassing way but it melts the ice between them. Colin is almost a bad boy he has his naughty ways but he is also sensual and caring. Colin has his own dark secrets that we begin to find a little bit about and that didn't come up until he met Natalie. I can't wIt to read the whole to book to find out the reasons of his dark secrets to resurface.

Almost Matched turned out to be different than I initially thought it would be. I thought it would be about bad boy players hanging out in bars and taking home different women every night, but the guy in the story Colin, is so much more than that. I really liked him. He is haunted by his past, and I feel like in the second half of this book we really got to know him and I loved that. This book set up a different kind of story than I was expecting but one that I think I will like even more. I am super excited for the second book.

Natalie is co-owner of a successful business and her business partner is a very causal relationship type of person. That just isn't who Natalie is. But she is in her mid 20s and she has been hurt multiple times before by guys. She figures she is ready for some fun. Enter Colin. Of course, it turns out to be more than just fun for either of them. Colin turns out to be such a sweetie. He was courting Natalie hard core. It made me swoon just a bit.

Almost Matched is a foodie's dream. I loved how on all of their dates, everything about their meals and wine were detailed down to the very last side dish and sauce. It was really detailed. Angela's writing was very vivid. I felt like I could taste the food and wine. Actually everything about her writing had a very realistic, every day life feel. Natalie and Colin's relationship seemed like so many new relationships. The honeymoon phase started to wear off and Colin started to act different, which started to cause Natalie to start over thinking things. And so on and so forth. But Natalie would never have guessed what the real reason behind his "off-ness" was.

Almost Matched started out great for me, and then around the 20% mark it got a little slow for me. But once I hit the halfway point of the book, I was out of the story slump and Almost Matched just kept drawing me more and more in. I got wrapped up in Natalie and Colin's story and it just kept getting better and better. I can't wait to read the next book. Now that the foundation has been laid and it ended up going in a different direction than I initially thought, I am super intrigued to see where the next book is going to go.

This was my first time reading this author’s work as such I was not sure what to expect. After reading the blurb and a few of the reviews I thought this sounds like an interesting read.
Almost matched started out rather interesting. I thought it was rather funny the way that Colin and Natalie met. I give Natalie props because that were to happen to me, I would be totally mortified and probably would not show up for that meeting knowing that the source of my embarrassment would be present.
It was easy to relate to Natalie and her problems when it came to finding the right guy. What’s ironic about her situation though is the she is the co-owner of a successful matchmaking company, but she was unable to find her perfect match.
What I loved most about this story is the interaction between Natalie and her friends. The bond that existed between these friends appears strong. It’s obvious they care about each other and they had each other’s backs.
I also loved the author’s writing style as it made me feel as if I was on the sidelines looking in.
My only problem with the story is that the romance between Natalie and Collin felt a bit stilted. There were times it was bit boring and I felt it was not going anywhere. It’s clear that Collin had a secret and his failure to reveal to Natalie was having a negative impact on their relationship.
In spite of this I found Almost Matched somewhat enjoyable and I can’t wait to start book two as I would love to know what’s going to happen next.
