DNF.
Could not get into it at all, it felt flat to me and I found my mind just wandering off.

Parts of this book had me intrigued and other parts fell a bit flat. I loved how the action started right away and the character of Lissie was interesting to me but it seemed to trail off. The storyline of her mother became quite repetitive. It was an easy read, took under 24 hours and I was interested at some parts. The ending seemed like it was heading in an interesting direction and then I turned the page and suddenly, the book was finished.
Overall a 3 star read as there were some strong parts to the book. I just feel like it could have been fleshed out more.

As a nurse, the title caught my eye, and as a horror lover, the description caught my undivided attention. I was enthralled with Lissa’s story, and I even see a bit of myself in her (except for the murderous tendencies). It’s just that the ending felt a little abrupt for me. I would’ve liked to know if Lissa plans on working to better her life, to start living it for her.
