This was not a good book, there were absolutely no redeeming features and it was just... Blah.
The characters were 2 dimensional and not very likable. The story also felt very clumsy and I'm happy it wasn't a long book as I probably wouldn't have finished it if it were longer.
Would not recommend and I wish I hadn't wasted my time on it. Very unfulfilling.

I bought this book years ago and it’s just been chilling in my TBR pile until now. I think partly because John Green writes amazing, deep, tragic, teenage love stories and I’m not always in the mood for that. But the day came, and I loved this book. It was deep and the characters were all so smart and multifaceted, they were like real kids fighting through all the ups and downs they have to face daily, while still trying to be silly and have fun.

I didn't love this one. I had high expectations with the hype around John Green, but I was left feeling meh about this story. I think it brings up important topics like mental health, trauma, and substance use, however it didn't feel like there was much more to it than bringing up the topics. I don't hate that I read this one, but I don't think it will be a go-to for recommendations.

“You never know what someone is going through. Be kind. Always.” - is the quote that best describes this book for me.

Every character, every flaw, all the differences between them, their childhood & every struggle they went through makes it real. Someone in our world is one of these characters. You’ll just never know who.
