I liked this book very much, it was the first book in a long time that really touched and effected me after reading it. The way it's written it is really easy to feel what the main character is feeling. And I think it could be a great starting point to talk to adolescent people about the themes discussed in the book. Like underaged drinking/smoking, rebellion against authority figures, sexualitie, and of course death. While reading the first few chapters I was not sure about the book, but now after finishing it I'm absolutely sure I'll reread it. But it's important to note that it was a very emotional read, I cryed almost the entire second half of the book.

This book deals with real life scenarios that many teenagers deal with and I think it is depicted here very well. The author makes you feel something with the way it's written. Overall a great book

Sobbed my eyes out when I read this at school. Added another character I kin to my list. holy moley man what a debut book. Big trigger warning though. Stay safe, and know that you are loved and that you are enough.

Read this for a school assignment so automatically the book was kind of ruined for me. This book was not mind-blowing. It had some good moments but having a main character you don’t care for makes it hard to enjoy the book.

Looking For Alaska follows Miles, an innocent child attending boarding school. No smoking, no alcohol, no sex- at least that's what his parents said. Well, he has been obedient until he met Alaska Young.

Alaska Young is a sixteen-year-old obsessed with sex, and she holds a reputation to be the only girl who hasn't cheated on her boyfriend. She loves him dearly. They're the perfect couple, at least that's what everyone thought.

One night, Alaska went missing. But Miles, or known as Purge, was determined to look for Alaska, to confess his love for her.

This book doesn't necessarily have lovable characters. If you love a character in this book and you don't kin the character, that's pretty questionable. Listen, I love pretentious characters, characters with questionable morals, and sad books. But, this didn't really do this for me.

As said earlier, Alaska is a sex addict- but the thought of a grown man writing sex scenes by teenagers is creepy, don't lie. Alaska was also oversexualized. I know it was supposed to be realistic, but it's just a no for me.
